This will be my first year in Chandler. Before coming here I taught in Flagstaff for three years and most recently, five years in Texas. I was excited when my husband (of 19 years) had the opportunity to move us back to our home state!
I began my teaching career after choosing to stay home with my three kids until the youngest was old enough to start preschool. Time with them was so precious. Now my oldest is a junior in high school, my daughter is in the eighth grade and my youngest is a sixth grader! The majority of my free time is spent enjoying them participate in athletics and band. Our family also loves going to the lake, swimming, fishing, and hiking. When we are stuck inside we have fun playing games and watching movies. :)
One of my FAVORITE things to do is to join in another's educational journey. I love teaching. It is a great reward to to witness students become successful and take ownership over what they have learned. One goal I want to see every student achieve is to become an independent, life-long learner. Families and schools are partners in this journey. I look forward to seeing where this year takes us!
